I have been going to puppy kindergarden for almost a month now. I am the smartest puppy in my class. Usually I like to show off my accomplishments but the other day, Kimberly, the lady with the treats, told my mum I had to get used to coming to her even when my leash was dragging on the floor behind me. So I'm supposed to be practising this.
I am a brave puppy. I am not afraid of vacuums, lawnmowers, weedeaters or firetrucks. I take the occasional clap of thunder in stride. What freaks me out though is strange items like collars, leashes and raincoats that attach to my person. It is a boundary issue and these guys need to learn this is MY body!!!
So I have been doing the catotonic puppy thing again. Here I am with the dreaded dragging devil of a leash.

I thought I covered this already but it seems I have to explain this to you. It's a good thing you are young because I'm old and out of patience. I shouldn't have to explain this after my last blog!
Sassy, what you need to do is have a poop beside the leash.....just after they remove it from you and put it away. They will get the message when they realize you only do this after a distressing incident such as putting a leash on you. The location is alos important. It must be symbolic in nature and be located strategically, dependent on the infraction your humans have done to your person. That's why you need to do the deed beside the leash, collar, raincoat.....
Give it a try. If you noticed, my humans have never put a leash on me!
